Thank you to everyone who joined us last year for Be Well Washington, A Family Health Week! Regence BlueShield, the Seahawks and the Sounders FC brought an amazing line up of FREE screenings, lectures and educational programming to the Washington community. List of 2010 Exhibitors

Abbott
Abbott Laboratories will provide free screenings attendees through US Wellness. The health screenings are done through a finger stick and cover the following components - TC, LDL-C, HDL-C, TG, Glucose, Blood Pressure, BMI and Framingham Risk.


Alzheimer's Association
The Alzheimer's Association will feature a table with information on dementia, brain health and programs available. We will have program staff available to answer general questions.


American Diabetes Association
Diabetes and related complications, education, screenings and giveaways.


American Heart Association
Learn how tackling Life's Simple 7 can help you achieve ideal cardiovascular health and take My Life Check Assessment to get your cardiovascular health score.


American Lung Association
The American Lung Association in Washington offers FREE in-home air quality assessments to anyone living in Seattle through our Master Home Environmentalist© program. We are also available to answer questions about all aspects of indoor air quality from mold and dust to household chemicals, lead, asthma and allergies.


American Red Cross
Emergencies can strike anyone at anytime. The American Red Cross will teach kids and their families how to stay safe and prepared for house fires, earthquakes, floods and other disasters.


Austin Foundation
A fitness challenge course with multiple stations designed to engage youth and families in exercises that are examples of components of fitness (anaerobics, aerobic, flexibility, nutrition, balance, coordination and agility. Motivating youth and their families to move and stay healthy! Receive a prize for completing the passport.

Network of Strengths mission - to ensure no one faces breast cancer alone - is fulfilled through our educational & emotional support programs for women & families.

The CHP Group
The CHP Group will join with Washington state complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) organizations and selected providers to introduce fair attendees to CAM, what type of treatments it encompasses, and how it can integrated into their health care routine. Additionally, the CHP booth will host local massage therapists who will be giving free, brief hand massages to demonstrate the benefits of massage.


Choice & Consequence
Choice & Consequence's registered nurse, the "organ lady", will present "The Real Inside Story" human organ presentation on Saturday. She uses the organs, some healthy and others damaged by substance abuse and other poor lifestyle choices, and a unique combination of scientific facts, humor, storytelling, interactive activities and an unforgettable hands-on component designed to empower audiences of all ages to make better choices. Put on the exam gloves and go through the table with her and get ready to be inspired!


Crystal Springs
Hydration is an important part of health and wellness. Crystal Spring Water Company was established prior to 1855 by Squire Edward Little. Squire Little's estate sold the company in 1875 to Mr. Stevens who sold the company to Lewis Bornstein in 1909. Crystal Springs will be handing out 5,000 bottled waters.


ElderHealth Northwest
Helpful answer to questions about our programs and activities for elders and their caregivers.


Evergreen Eye Center
We will feature the importance of Ocular health and early detection of eye disease. We will pass out information and giveaways and answer questions.


Health Care Authority
Community Health Plan of Washington, will have an interactive game featuring a soccer goal in the Kid's Corner.

"Try on MS" using everyday props to learn about some of the symptoms of multiple sclerosis: foot drop, balance, spasticity, numbness, vision problems, and dizziness. Educational materials will be available for anyone whose life is affected by MS or for those wondering, "Is it MS?"





Northwest Burn Foundation
Interactive demonstrations with children and distributing scald fliers to parents. Will provide fire safety educational materials.


Northwest Kidney Centers
Free blood pressure checks, free health information on the following topics: diabetes, hypertension, healthy eating, kidney disease and organ donation and promotional items for kids including coloring sheets, temporary tattoos.


Northwest Parkinson's Foundation
The NWPF features an online Wellness Center for Parkinson's as well as educational and support resources for families and caregivers.








Partners Crackers
We will hand out free samples of our new GET MOVIN' Snack Crackers. A healthier-for-you alternative to salty snacks.




Physical Therapy Association of Washington
Something for everyone from athletes to seniors. A PT will perform balance assessments because falls are a leading cause of death and hospitalization for seniors. One of the state's leading sports PTs will assess strength and flexibility. A PT who specializes in movement will analyze lower body movement for pain and injury prevention.


Pierce Military & Business Alliance
With 17 business partners our group will distribute their information to the attendees.






Puget Sound Affiliate, Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Komen Puget Sound will provide breast awareness information - including infomation on breast self examination, breast cancer screening information, risk factors, etc. Will have breast health materials in multiple languages and an interactive game to test attendees breast health knowledge.


Puget Sound Health Alliance
Puget Sound Health Alliance will have a display and will be distributing giveaways and brochures.


Reliant Behavioral Health, LLC
Providing educational materials on stress management and self care tips.


Safe Kids Seattle
Safe Kids Seattle is a member of Safe Kids Washington, USA, and Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations whose mission is to prevent unintentional childhood injury. Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death for children 14 and under. Harborview Medical Center leads Safe Kids Seattle, in partnership with other committed injury prevention organizations, to reduce the risk of unintentional injuries among children in Seattle, Washington.


Senior Services
Senior Services provides King County seniors with information and assistance and transportation services. We will have representatives at the fair to talk with community members about our services and general questions seniors or family members of seniors might have.


TLC Laser Eye Centers
TLC Laser Eye Centers will be conducting free screenings at the event to determine candidacy for LASIK. Our representatives will be available to answer questions regarding the life changing benefits of this procedure. TLC will have information available along with give aways and a drawing for a free iPad.


Virginia Mason Medical Center
Virginia Mason Medical Center is an award-winning, private, not-for-profit organization offering a network of primary and specialty care clinics throughout the Puget Sound region and a hospital in Seattle.


VSP Vision Care

The Washington State Chiropractic Association will provide chiropractic consultations and free evaluations of structural vs. functional postural imbalances. Doctors will check for the difference in weight between the right and left sides of the body, focusing on how the length of the legs compare and the horizontal alignment of the hips and shoulders plus the vertical alignment of the spine and head.





Washington State Dietetic Association
Registered Dietitians (RDs) will assist attendees with the "Think Your Drink" activity, answer questions about why RDs are the food and nutrition experts, and distribute information on healthy eating and wellbeing.


Willamette Dental
We will feature various materials on dental wellness and fun activities for children.

Learn about health and food resources available in Washington like state-sponsored health insurance, WIC, Food Stamps, available for families in Washington state. FREE Summer Meals for Kids, food banks, low cost clinics and more. Use an online tool to see if you might be eligible for Food Stamps.
