High blood pressure is a growing problem in the U.S. In fact, 31 percent of adults suffer from hypertension. Among African Americans, the risk is even higher than the average. African Americans develop high blood pressure more often, and at an earlier age.

The good news is that high blood pressure can be controlled or prevented... first you just need to know you've got a problem. One Seattle-area barber is making sure his clients get more than a new look in the barber chair–he also offers them free blood pressure checks.
